My Marcos GT http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/ My Marcos GT London Motor Show 1969 Actually this isn't my car . . . but I wanted to include this picture from the 1969 London Motor Show anyway. TGE25G. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018656 4018656 The Jem Marsh showroom in Westbury in 1970. Another Jeff Pole photo - my guess is that TGE25G must have returned to the showroom between the first and second owners. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018639 4018639 The Jem Marsh showroom in Westbury in 1970. Another Jeff Pole photo - which he sent to me after I thanked him for the earlier photos of my car. Another Jeff Pole photo - This time a close up of TGE25G with another 3L V6 (I think) in Royal blue (I guess). http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018658 4018658 TGE25G in the UK in around 1970 / 71 With the help of the UK Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) I was able to determine that I am the 10th owner of TGE25G (as My Marcos GT was originally registered in the UK). This (and the next) photo were supplied to me by the second owner . . . http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018640 4018640 TGE25G in the UK in around 1970 / 71 . . . "I purchased the Marcos from Jem Marsh in Warminster, Wiltshire. It was a terrible beige colour so I resprayed it chrome yellow, a very popular colour for a Marcos at that time."
Roger sold the Marcos in January 1977 to buy an E-Type Jaguar.

TGE25G listed on ebay UK - 8 Nov 2004 My first glimpse of My Marcos GT was this photo which appeared on an ebay auction listing on 8 November 2004. A week later, after much correspondence with the former owner, Malcolm Preedy [Poole, England], my bid triumphed. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018660 4018660 Day One - 19 Nov 2004 A matter of days after winning the auction I had to make the trip from the Netherlands to the UK to pick-up TGE25G as Malcolm was moving to France that weekend. And there she was . . . on the day I picked up my Marcos in Poole (UK). http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018663 4018663 19 Nov 2004 - Inspecting the Wooden Chassis After picking up the Marcos on the 19th we went to Marcos Heritage where Rory's team inspected the wooden chassis, and I perused (and then purchased) the build file (refer literature). http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018681 4018681 20 Nov 2004 - Road trip Leaving from Sailsbury on the 20th we drove to Eindhoven in the Netherlands, covering approx 400 miles - more than the Marcos had done in the last 4 years. A photo taken at a Belgian petrol station was later included in this reproduction of a period Marcos advert. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018682 4018682 19 March 2005 - still on UK Plates The first RDW Kleuring (certification for use on Dutch Roads) was scheduled for mid December 2004. All was good except for a "brake imbalance" (actually a leaking cylinder). With a trip to New Zealand in January the next appointment was not arranged until 19 March 2005.

Here I've managed to get parks for both the Marcos and the Laguna (the daily driver) opposite our temporary house. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018665 4018665 22 September 2005 - Farewell NL Days before handing my Marcos over to the shipping company on 22 September for transport to New Zealand. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018666 4018666 4 January 2006 - AA Tech After clearing Customs on 14 Dec 2005 the Marcos went to the AA Tech team for certification for use on New Zealand roads. After taking ages for the guys to work out what set of rules the Marcos needed to be certified under it was treated as a low volume vehicle and a list of matters to rectify was drawn up. Most were ultimately relatively minor matters and easily cured with a liberal application of cash to engineers and mechanics.. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018685 4018685 9 June 2006 - NZ Plates Molly seems to have missed the Marcos and appears to be very pleased that daddy's car is finally registered for use on NZ roads. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018667 4018667 28 Dec 2006 - Eastbourne NZ Nearly home after a Sunday spin . . . http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018686 4018686 28 Dec 2006 - Eastbourne NZ . . . but parked up for a few photos first. http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018687 4018687 18 Feb 2007 - 21st British Car Day Marcos, Saker, Eureka and Taipan at the Constructors Car Club display at the 21st British Car day http://marcosgt.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=4018688 4018688 E-Type Eater 18 Feb 2007.
